Ferndale Kids Ministry

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children…” (Deuteronomy 6:5-9).

As a church, we want to affirm parents in their role as the primary spiritual influencers of their children. Our goal is not to take on the responsibility of the parents or to provide a substitution for their role. Supporting parents, and giving them the tools that they need to fulfill their God-given responsibility. We have a variety of Kids’ programs, on-site and home-based. All on-site programs are facilitated by qualified volunteers who have completed an annual Plan to Protect course, in-house training and have submitted a valid current police check.

Sunday Kids Programs

Every Sunday during our 9:00 am service we offer Kids’ programs from birth to grade 5. Every Kids program upholds our core ministry values, which are: Christ-centred, child-targeted, safety, application-oriented teaching, creative teaching, small group connection, relational, fun. The Kids ministries are located on the lower level of our facility. When you arrive, we would ask that you either take your kids to the washroom and wash their hands or use the hand sanitizer provided to ensure hand hygiene as we enter the classrooms. Children will then be checked in to their respective classrooms either by one of our volunteers or by using the Church Center App remote check-in option. 

• Nursery (0-24 months). Our nursery volunteers provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for your little ones during this time.
• 2’s & 3’s (2-3 year olds). Your preschoolers will enjoy playtime, age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, crafts, and snacks during this time.
• JK/SK (4-5 year olds). Your kindergarteners will enjoy playtime, age-appropriate Bible stories, songs, crafts, and snacks during this time.
• KidzChurch (grades 1-5). Your school-aged kids will enjoy fun Bible stories, music, games, activities, and small group connections during this time.
